Three Simple Steps To Get Rid Forever Of Your Chronic Exhaustion

Never Feel Tired Again!

Are you continually feeling exhausted, tired and
sluggish? Do you feel that you can’t even focus? If that
were not enough your joints and muscles feel sore all
over…

Your Family Doctor may tell you to face the reality: as
you get older this is what you have to live with…

At this point you should ask your Physician if the
Medication you are taking (for whatever ailment) is
drugging you and/or causing the muscle soreness.

Being 40 is not getting older! It’s being in the middle
of living, I told myself and I researched, read,
investigate, asked questions and discovered that it was
not in my head, there was a reason for it, a medical
reason. The answer, how to get rid of the exhaustion,
sores and cramps in the muscles was very simple and you
ou can do it:

The natural way – no medication required.

Most reasonable way, no need to go to the Drug Store.

And, you can do it yourself!

When we are young we eat a lot of quick-take-out (type
Mc-Donald’s) food. When we get older we don’t cook often
and again relay on processed and micro-oven-friendly
prepared servings.

By preparing food the Manufacturers  are making sure that
their merchandise on the shelves remains fresh for some
time. They have to remove many beneficial nutrients and
add a lot of sodium to avoid growth of bacteria. To
consume such unhealthy foodstuff leads to all kinds of
diseases including chronic tiredness.

You can avoid getting tired and developing diseases by
following these THREE simple steps:

Step ONE:

Look at the food you consume – the labels. If you find
that the foodstuff you eat contains more sodium than
potassium then you found your answer to your chronic
fatigue.

Your daily potassium intake should be about 4 000 mg.
Here is the information of how to get rid of your
perpetual tiredness – fatigue.

Step TWO:

Eat daily one  banana, containing about 400 mg of
potassium. A baked  potato  with  skin   about 1 200 mg
of potassium. One cap of steamed spinach has about 1 000
mg of potassium. Drink ONE glass of pure orange juice 1
400 mg of potassium.

One cap of dates, raisins, lima beans, pinto beans
contain about 1 000 mg in each serving of magnesium and
so is one avocado. Following foods also contain a fair
amount of potassium:

  • dates
  • strawberries, apricots, pears
  • bananas
  • watermelon, cantaloupe
  • citrus fruits
  • beets, tomatoes soy products, fish (cod, salmon), meat (especially grass-fed), turkey,

Step THREE:

For better break down of carbs you need to take the
following. (besides the Multi-Vitamin, which you probably
are already taking)  a complete Vitamin B (containing B
1, B 2 and B 3) and the Pantothenic and Lipoic acids.

These Acids are expensive and often are not included in
your Multi-Vitamin but they are very much needed for
getting rid of your muscle soreness.

Your tiredness affected you slowly and to build-up your
system will also take some time, about 2 to 3 month.

Be consistent, persistent and patient and the results are
sure to come: no more tiredness, no more muscle cramps.

Try it, You Will be Glad You did.

Superstitions – The Origins Of Superstitions Is Not An Exact Science.

The Origins Of Superstitions Is Not An Exact Science.

Number 13, as a number is thought of as an unlucky … Yet
it is considered lucky and unlucky by many people when
the 13th of the month falls on Friday.

In this year, 2009, Friday the 13th occurred in the Month
of February, March and November. The next year to contain
THREE Friday the 13 dates is going to be the year of
2012.

The exact origin of this superstition is not known, but
the following information began to be contemplated as
such sometime during the 19th century.

In our modern Day and Age there are many people who
insist that the 13 is an unlucky number, and that Friday
is an unlucky day – period.

When we think of numbers we tent to visualize “12” as a
whole number:

We have 12 hours in a clock, 12 month in a year, there
are 12 Zodiac signs, 12 tribes of Israel, Jesus had 12
Apostles, we hear about 12 Gods of Olympus and many more…

The Number 13, began to be considered odd. There were 13
people sitting at the table when Jesus had the Last
Supper, hence the modern concept is that if that many
people are sitting at the table one of them would have to
die during that year.

Since the 14th century (when The Canterbury Tales were
written) Friday was considered as unlucky day to begin
new projects or journeys.

Jesus was crucified on Friday -  therefore it is
considered an unlucky day.

There is another reference to unlucky Friday at the time
of the beginning of Christianity:

During the time when Norse and Germanic tribes converted
to Christianity Friday was named after the free-spirited
goddess of love and fertility, Frigga, who was banished
and considered to be a witch.

The insulted and spiteful goddess was holding meetings
every Friday with 11 witches and the devil to plot bad
events for the next week.

An important event happened on Friday, October the 13th,
1307 in France, when the Knights Templar,  (a monastic
military order protecting Christian pilgrims during the
Crusades) was arrested by the order of King Philip,
because he was jealous of the Knights Templar power and
wealth. (This event was part of The Da Vinci Code in
2003).

Close to twenty five million people in the North America
fear the Friday in general. Those people avoid getting
out of bed, if they can help it, don’t do business, don’t
undertake any traveling, etc…

Natural events on Friday the 13th

Due to the large number of events that happen in the
world, a similar list could be compiled for any
combination of day of the month and day of the week.
Events that have been notable for being linked to the
concept of Friday the 13th include:

* Hurricane Charley made landfall in south Florida on
Friday, August 13, 2004.

* The “Friday the 13th Storm” struck Buffalo, New York
on Friday, October 13, 2006.

* The asteroid 2004 MN4 will make its close encounter on
Friday, April 13, 2029.[21]

* Andes Plane Crash of 1972

Besides Friday the 13th there are other superstitions
many people believe in:

Braking a mirror (other include crystal or glass),

A black cat crossing person’s way,

Walking under the ladder, etc.

Should you avoid traveling on this date? In 1993, the
British Medical Journal conducted a study of automobile
travel on Friday the 13th. They found that fewer people
chose to drive on the “unlucky” day, but the number of
hospital admissions due to car accidents rose.

They concluded that “Friday the 13th is unlucky for
some. The risk of hospital admission as a result of a
transport accident may be increased by as much as 52
percent. Staying at home is recommended.”

While travelling on Fridays seems to continue as usually
the Continental Airlines spokeswoman Julie King says that
Continentals planes have a Row 13.

The Delta ticket agent Cassandra Dozier says that at
least twice a month passengers request to not be seated
in Row 13.

Fairmont Hotels spokesman Mike Taylor says that the
company doesn’t experience a noticeable drop in
occupancy on Friday the 13th. But he adds that six of the
chain’s eight American high-rise hotels don’t have a
13th floor.

Many High-rise buildings do not have 13th Floor and many
Hotels do not have Room 13.

Yet, at the Fairmont Hotel in Vancouver, B.C., Room 1313
is frequently requested by guests who believe that the
number is actually good luck.

Since people are more careful and more vigilant on the
Friday the 13th, according to statistics, less fires and
robberies are reported on such a day.

The same should be with driving accidents, but the
contrary is the reality.

It’s being said, that it’s not bad luck but rather bad
nerves
– caused by worrying about bad luck are affecting
the way certain people drive – that make the day so
dangerous.

In conclusion I should mention what happened to the
earliest known documented reference in English that
occurred in an 1869 Biography of Gioachino Rossini:

“[Rossini] was surrounded to the last by admiring and
affectionate friends; and if it be true that, like so
many other Italians, he regarded Friday as an unlucky
day, and thirteen as an unlucky number, it is remarkable
that on Friday, the 13th of November, he died.”S

Something to seriously think about – it may be good for
driving and other occasions.

Try it – you may be glad you did…

Swine Flu Influenza and Should People Take The Flu Shots or Not?

The Definition Of Swine Flu Influenza, By Mayo Clinic staff

Novel H1N1 flu, popularly known as swine flu, is a
respiratory infection caused by an influenza virus first
recognized in spring 2009. The new virus, which is
officially called swine influenza A (H1N1), contains
genetic material from human, swine and avian flu viruses.

Technically, the term “swine flu” refers to influenza
in pigs. Occasionally, pigs transmit influenza viruses to
people, mainly hog farm workers and veterinarians. Less
often, someone infected occupationally passes the
infection to others. You can’t catch swine flu from
eating pork.

Unlike typical swine flu, H1N1 flu spreads quickly and
easily. In June 2009, when the infection’s spread had
been verified worldwide, the World Health Organization
declared H1N1 flu a global pandemic.

An H1N1 vaccine has been developed for the 2009-10 flu
season.

An H1N1 vaccine has been developed for the 2009-10 flu
season Symptoms

Swine flu symptoms in humans are similar to those of
infection with other flu strains:

·  Fever

·  Cough

·  Sore throat

·  Body aches

·  Headache

·  Chills

·  Fatigue

·  Diarrhea

·  Vomiting

Swine flu symptoms develop three to five days after
you’re exposed to the virus and continue for about eight
days, starting one day before you get sick and continuing
until you’ve recovered.

When to see a doctor.

It’s not necessary to call a doctor if you’re generally
healthy and you develop swine flu symptoms, such as
fever, cough and body aches. Do call your doctor,
however, if you have flu symptoms and you’re pregnant or
you have a chronic disease, such as emphysema or a heart
condition.

Causes.

Influenza viruses infect the cells lining your nose,
throat and lungs. The virus enters your body when you
inhale contaminated droplets or transfer live virus from
a contaminated surface to your eyes, nose or mouth on
your hand.

Risk factors.

Because novel H1N1 virus is new, everyone is at some
risk. Health care workers who provide direct patient care
are at particular risk of catching H1N1 flu. College
students and children in school and child care are also
at high risk. Children typically pick up the virus in the
classroom and pass it to other members of the household.

When Travelling.

-  inform yourself about this illness and if your
Insurance Co. covers your Medical Expenses when
travelling

-  take with you basic first aid and other medical
supplies – be aware of local medical announcements

-  follow recommendations of how to prevent/restrict
influenza – wash your hands thoroughly and frequently

-  sneeze into your sleeve at the elbow area to avoid
spreading

-  cover your mouth with Kleenex when coughing

-  do not touch your eyes, nose and mouth

-  keep distance from sick people

-  if if get ill contact your consulate

–  they are going to help you to contact a physician and
they will be informed of your presence in that country

-  when you return home monitor your health about first 10
days

-  call your doctor if you have the symptoms of the
influenza known as grippe and flu, which is upper
respiratory disease also known as swine flu.

Vaccine

Vacccine is available and recommended but there many
professionals and individuals who do not share this
recommendation.

For best results, when in doubt, consult a professional
– YOU would be glad you did.

Dear Olga,

Patients who come to me with unwanted noise filling their
head non-stop are among the most frustrated. You can’t
sleep. You can’t read. It’s tough to concentrate on
anything.

When I went to medical school, like all beginning
doctors, I had to learn a new language. We doctors have
different words for everything. So we don’t call it
“ringing in your ears.” We call it tinnitus.

Problem is, all those fancy new words aside, doctors just
don’t seem to be able to do a darn thing to fix the
problem.

Most doctors say you’ll get used to it eventually. That
you just have to live with it. Some even blame you for
causing it – all those years listening to music too
loudly or working near noisy machinery.

But there are other causes of tinnitus. Taking
antibiotics, having chronic ear infections, even food
allergies cause the disorder.

And you can make the ringing stop. While some doctors
will put you on anti-depressants or tranquilizers to help
numb your mind, I’ve found some natural remedies can make
tinnitus disappear.

Ginkgo biloba. Over 40 clinical studies show that ginkgo
eases tinnitus. For example, a German study of tinnitus
sufferers shows that ginkgo reduces ringing.1 Another
review of studies says taking ginkgo for one to three
months has a significantly greater reduction and speedier
relief.

Even Germany’s Commission E, which regulates supplements,
officially endorses ginkgo as a treatment for tinnitus. I
recommend 80 mg three times a day.

Vinpocetine. If loud noises caused your tinnitus,
vinpocetine may be the answer. In one study, tinnitus
disappeared in half of those who took it within one week
of trauma.

Even if you don’t take it right away, it can lessen the
severity. Regardless of the time lapse since the trauma,
66 percent had a significant decrease. I recommend 20 mg
a day.

CoQ10. A British study found that tinnitus sufferers with
low levels of CoQ10 benefited significantly from CoQ10
supplements.

Get your blood levels checked. If your CoQ10 levels are
below 3 to 4 mcg/ml, you’ll want to take a supplement. I
recommend 50 mg of the ubiquinol form of CoQ10. The
ubiquinol form is 8 times more powerful than regular
CoQ10. It’s more absorbable so it keeps your blood levels
high.

As I mentioned, food allergies can sometimes cause
tinnitus. You can take a test to find out which foods
your body can’t tolerate. It’s called the ALCAT Test.
It’s a simple blood test. And you get an easy-to-read
report telling you which foods to avoid. By eliminating
certain foods, you may be able to cure your tinnitus. Ask
your doctor about it.

Plus, there’s another great resource you should use. I’ve
been on the panel of experts at the Health Sciences
Institute for many years. They’ve put together one of the
most comprehensive books I’ve seen on the subject. It’s
filled with solutions your doctor doesn’t know about. You
can learn more about how to handle your tinnitus
including:

* Foods that cause – and cure – tinnitus

* Which common drugs have tinnitus as a side effect

* What diseases could contribute to tinnitus

* How yoga breathing exercises may bring relief

* Massage techniques that can provide comfort

* The most effective treatments you can use

* And much more.

The book contains a wealth of information that can help
you.

To Your Good Health,

How To Solve The North American Overweight Problem.

One of the largest North America’s Health Problems, at
the present is peoples’ exaggerated overweight/obesity
which affects citizens’ health. Even young children
suffer from it.

Who, do you think, is responsible to keep people healthy?
If you were to reflect on this just for a moment, you
would quickly come to the conclusion that it is your
responsibility to keep your body healthy.

Take First Baby Steps To Solve The Problem

You can begin getting out of this predicament by
evaluating the following: Does the food you consume
contain a lot of junk-food? Do you eat mostly the
processed (frozen) food? Do you indulge yourself in soft,
sugary drinks? Are you the kind of a person that has to
have rich, sweet snacks and deserts?

If so, you should gradually stop consuming those damaging
products and replace them with:

Wholesome foodstuff and Fresh vegetables.

Fresh fruits snacks and Nuts and seeds.

Fresh fruits deserts and

Drinking 6 – 8 glasses of water daily.

You also have to take into account that a human body was
created to be in motion, but we became Desk and TV bound
and engage ourselves with sedentary games, rather than
doing some physical activities.

Don’t Forget To Exercise!

Yet to exercise is so easy: As soon as you wake up drink
about two glasses of water. This water won’t stay with
you for long – it will help to detoxify your system
quicker.

Then exercise about 20 minutes and take a shower. After
you wash yourself the usual way try to run (gradually)
hot water over your body, (as hot as you can stand it)
for about 30 seconds. After that run cold-water shower
over your body (30 seconds).

You will feel refreshed and vigorous – ready to take on
not only your daily routine but also the closest
mountains as well!

Do I hear you say you don’t know what kind of
calisthenics is best for you? I am glad you asked…
Being an ardent health supporter I am very much intrusive
and probing in everything that affects this topic.

It was, therefore, not by chance that I got interested in
the meaning of the word “Turbulence” associated with
“Training”: Burn Your Belly Fat and Sculpture Your
Muscles. I was puzzled…

English is not my native language. I lived through the
World War II in Europe and experienced first-hand the
meaning of this word, but having it connected to the
work-out, to sculpture your muscles – this was something
I needed to look into.

After considering the meaning of the word and learning
about the “Turbulence Training” I came to conclusion
that it is definitely all-inclusive and proper word to
use: One had to combat with all might, violence, and
ferocity to burst, to infiltrate the knobby roughness -
bumpiness of the person’s rough skin to get the desired
results from exercising.

Yes, indeed, to do the job right, one definitely needs a
turbo-supercharger to combat all the resistance! My
friend needed that kind of attack, pardon me, exercises
and I immediately contacted her. To my delight no
persuasion was needed, because the motto of the founder
of the Program was: “Try Before You Buy”, and there was
a Guarantee to loose weight, so there was no risk of
loosing anything except many pounds of fat.

To keep my friend company I also signed up for
“to-do-it-at home” Program requiring minimum equipment!
Imagine, no need to go to the GYM to keep my muscles
firm. It’s very convenient for a person, who is “80plus
going on 100″!

Right now this program is being offered for FREE. But
before I tell you what it enhances, let me introduce to
you the founder of it: Mr. Craig Ballantyne, CSCS, M.Sc.,
who is also a Strength & Conditioning coach in Toronto,
a contributing author to Health Magazines, and a member
of the Training Advisory Board for Inside Fitness and
Oxygen Magazine. He diligently studies latest Training,
Nutrition Research and Supplementation that will help
improve his clients’ health and wellness as well as
their physical and mental performance.

Craig put together “short quality program for loss
workout for men and women to do at home exercises with
minimum equipment” that comes with Nutrition and Fat
Loss Guidelines.

You also will be able to access to the entire Training
system and ask any questions about your Fat-Loss and
Nutrition programs and down load – print the Exercises
and Tips for your Home Library.

Craig practices “Safety First!” He does not take any
chances: He insists on Dr’s Exam if you are sedentary or
have a health problem.

Words Of Wisdom

It’s also important to have a positive attitude and use
some visualization, which takes me quite a few years back
when the present Governor of California, Arnold
Schwarzenegger five-time winner of Mr. Universe
competition, indicated that positive thinking and
visualization was important to his training. He said:
“As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can
do something, you can do it – as long as you really
believe one hundred percent”. (Interview by writer
Kenneth R. Pelletier “Holistic Medicine, 1978).

Craig was asked why is he giving his new Program for
FREE… He responded: ” …I’m giving away a 6-month TT
membership to EVERYONE who finishes the Training contest.
All you have to do is submit before and after Photos and
an Essay … ”

I can promise you that if you stick to the plan, it is
guaranteed to work. All you need is the commitment and
the motivation to see it through.” Yes, indeed, my
friend and I can testify that the Programs are very
effective: she lost “tons” of fat, looks and feels if
she were a different person. Even her personality changed
for the better! I have more energy and firm muscles!

Old-Fashioned vs Contemporary Approach

Summer is almost gone in some parts of the world but the
outdoor activities continue for young as well as not so
young.

We enjoy sunshine and our health also benefits from the
magic rays of the sun and many people prefer to spend
more time basking themselves in the sun-rays and travel
long distances to places where they can  continue to do
so.

Sunshine is the source of all life on our Planet. While
without it nothing grows, too much of it produces the
opposite effect.  Sun rays are the matter of interest and
importance to one and everyone: how much of that gift of
nature should a person absorb is an answer yet to be
found.

It is quite confusing to decide what to do in our modern
days. There are too many different opinions, too many
different schools of thought.

There are also people, who believe that to never expose
the human body to the sun or cover it with cloth will
prevent cancer.

Another group of people contradict this notion by
affirming that the sunrays are the most beneficial not
only for every living organism, but especially for the
human body.

The studies show that the places of the body, which have
been protected in this way and then exposed to the sun
for a longer period of time, get cancer regardless.

Also we hear that by exposing a human body to the sun we
provide it with desperately needed Vitamin D and that the
sunrays have healing power and are most beneficial for us
in more than one aspect.

Everyone knows we have to be careful of the sunrays -
they have those dangerous ultra-violet rays (UV), which
not only burn the human skin, but also cause cancer.

Who is right?

So, let’s go back to the olden days, when there were more
people who enjoyed this God’s creation than
“self-appointed” scientists in this field who debated its
benefits.

Barely 100 years ago, I remember, it was very fashionable
and considerate healthy to spend a sunny afternoon
outdoors, moderately dressed, alternating between the
sunny and shadowy spots, while enjoying the surroundings.

In our modern world I notice people are barely covering
their bodies and exposing them to the sunrays for a long
period of time. The consequence:  a damaged skin!  But
there is the sunscreen to protect us! Exclaims the
contemporary educated crowd.

No, do not use that stuff – it contains chemicals that
damage the skin and causes cancer, contradicts the
environmentalist group.  There is a conflict, indeed and
where are the experts to tell us what to do?

How about turning our mind to the common sense and hear
what is its reasoning?

We are being informed that the human body’s largest
organ, the human skin, is made of multiple layers of
tissues and its primary responsibility to guard body’s
muscles, ligaments, bones, and internal organs.

It’s also a protecting device against infectious diseases
and excessive water loss. Skin also insulates, regulates
temperature and sensation. It harmonizes Vitamin D and
protects vitamin B folates, absorbs some of the UV, and
also acts as a barricade against water and soap so that
nutrients are not washed out of the body when we clean
ourselves.

This organ also contains enzymes that help reverse UV
damage. Individuals, who do not have enough of these
enzymes and therefore cannot protect themselves from UV
rays, are suffering from skin cancer at higher rate.

Skin pigmentation, as to be expected, varies amongst
people as well as the skin color.

Prevention is the best defense: people can avoid burns
and consequently cancer. Should a person get skin cancer,
if caught early, it’s easily cured.

My logo is:  PREVENTION. Since not everyone knows of his
or her exact skin composition it’s difficult to choose
the right sunscreen, but there are excellent products
that are readily available in every kitchen cabinet.

My favored is the Olive Oil (the purer the better). If it
were not readily available any oil would do.

Another product that was very popular and widely used for
this purpose was Vaseline (White Petroleum Jelly U.S.P)
the “Ultimate Moisturizer”, which helped new mothers to
care for the newborn babies’ skin.

It has been proven that these products lubricate and
nourish the skin, guard it against the sunrays and save
money.

Consequently using the Olive Oil and the Vaseline
(natural products) the person safeguards himself/herself
from the Sun-Rays and at the same time benefits
threefold.

Try it! You’ll not only be pleasantly surprised – you
will be glad you did!

minutes of interval training helped subjects spot
reduce their belly fat.

How To Get The Newborn to Sleep Through The Night

According to National Sleep Foundation, Sleep is
indispensable for a person’s well being. Lack of sleep
affects people’s health, they become moody, irritable and
even forgetful without adequate sleep.

It is no wonder then that new parents are concerned about
their sleepless nights when they bring their newborn baby
home from the hospital.

A new baby needs to eat every few hours.  Hence the new
mother has to feed him and many new fathers are trying to
be “helpful” as much as possible – at time by just
sympathizing.

But these sleepless nights should not last for a long
period of time. You can re-arrange somewhat your schedule
making the night-time routine go a lot easier.

You may hear a lot of suggestions from your friends and
relatives,But you need to educate yourself from reliable
sources: read books written by professional people as
well as articles in magazines.

Besides that, you have to keep in mind that not two
babies are alike.

A newborn baby has a very little stomach, so it gets
hungry “all the time”. And it’s rightfully so, your baby
is developing, is grooving – you would not want it to be
otherwise.

I had two children and they were very different in their
sleeping habits. One slept for long hours and needed an
afternoon nap until the age of about 6, while the other
child stopped napping at the age of about three.

While you could start “disciplining” the new baby nearly
right away in teaching the proper “sleeping-habits” – I
personally would keep the harshness away and try to be
patient for a few first weeks.

One thing you may introduce right from the start that at
night it’s strictly eating time and not entertainment
time and also you should put the child to bed without
pacifiers, bottles – in other words without help from
you, without “crutches” or toys.

You could adjust the hours of feeding. Some babies may
sleep at night during 4-5 hours – that’s what the “night”
for the baby is like.

You may feed the child at midnight and so your “night”
would be till four of five in the morning.

Keeping in mind that the newborn grows rapidly during
his/hers first two month in spite the fact that it’s
tummy is very small and the food get digested very
quickly.

The child needs to be fed every two-four hours.

A good practice would be to have the child fall asleep on
it’s own with one toy in the crib. By “on it’s own” I
mean not giving him the bottle or breast-feed him just to
get him to sleep.

If the child begins to fall asleep while it is being fed
just gently remove the bottle or your breast before he
falls asleep and put him in to the crib without a
pacifier.

This way the newborn will not associate the feeding and
the sleep as being closely “related” – sequenced.

There are several things that you can do to make certain
that the baby sleeps well.

Make sure that the temperature in the room is warm and
enjoyable for a baby. If the room temperature is
comfortable your newborn should not have too many
blankets.

Do not dress the baby too warmly because if a newborn
gets hot it will wake up, hence he or she is going to
wake you up as well.

If the baby is dressed many different layers to keep warm
this may also disturb his/her sleep.

It is important to put your baby to sleep at the same
time and in the same room every night.

Keep the room dark and quiet.

At times grown ups are speaking of the newborn sleeping
“through the night”, which means of about 5 hours: from,
12 to 5 in the morning. That’s the “night” for the baby
(not for you!).

It will take about a year or a little longer until the
real “sleeping through the night” will take place.

It’s important for the parents to get their sleep.

Besides being disturbed by the child’s feeding hours the
parents may get anxious or worried.

This is one of the things you should not do – worry,
which is according to studies, is number ONE cause of
sleep deprivation.

The child will grow-up soon and in time you are going to
recall those “sleepless” nights as some very special
events from your ‘distant” and joyful life.

enjoyed the post. Please leave a comment.

Shocking Facts About Sleep That Drug
Companies Do Not Want You to Know!”

How To Hold Your Bundle of Joy

As a new parent it’s difficult for you to realize that
this little, defenseless and the most adorable being is
not only very sensitive but also is most perceptive.

You may feel that holding the baby is a challenge – but it
is not.

As a first time parent you need to know, to learn how to
pick the baby up so it would feel secure in your arms. If
you are nervous or upset for whatever reason and then are
not sure how to pick-up the baby from the crib, you are
going to have the unhappiest little wiggly being in your
arms.

Before you pick the baby up you would have to speak softly
to the child, to let the newborn know you are close by.

Then pick the baby up with a firm grip and make the child
feel secure by gently pressing the little bundle against
your body, which also would give the baby the feeling of
comfort.

When you are picking the newborn up you are positioning
one of your hands under his neck, cradling the head and
placing it in the crook of your arm supporting the body
with your arm.

You can also place the baby against your chest, facing
you, always keeping one hand on the back of baby’s head
and the other hand against the child’s body.

While babies look fragile, in reality they are not, but
the neck is very vulnerable place to get injured – so, at
all times for the first few weeks place one of your hands
under the baby’s head when picking the newborn up or
pacing it down.

If you are tense or upset and don’t calm down your voice
and yourself before you are picking the newborn up, the
child will sense this and the child will arch its back and
would not want to be hold by you at this moment.

Learn Your Child’s Likes and Dislikes

There are different ways to hold your newborn. The most
traditional way is the one described above. The other way
is holding it against your chest with baby’s head against
your shoulder (watch the head! Hold your hand against the
neck!)

Another way, the most entertaining way for the child, is
holding the baby with its back against your body so the
child’s face is not obstructed and he/she can see the
surroundings, see what is going on.

Should you hold the baby for a while it’s a good idea to
change holding positions so that the baby does not get
bored or part of the tender body may get numb and
therefore sore.

You need to hold, touch and talk to the newborn often for
not only to form a bond between the two of you but to make
the baby feel safe and secure, leading to the child’s
physical and emotional security, which is very important
for good health and happiness of your baby not only for
the immediate future, but for the rest of child’s life.

Touching and talking

This is your first baby – everything about the child is
new to you and so is the world to your child. So, you both
are discovering each other, learning to be with each other
and enjoying each other.

Keep your mind on your baby and hold him/her close to your
body when you are holding your newborn; make the child
feel comfortable safe and secure, cuddle the baby, make
the child feel loved, wanted and secure  – those are the
prime requirements from you at this time while you both
are getting to know one-an-other as well as learning to
enjoy each other.

I noticed lately that there are a few “holding devises” on
the market, but I am not familiar with them.  They give me
the impression that they may be comfortable for the older
children but not for the newborn. But as I said before, I
am not familiar with them.

It does not take long for a grown up person to suffocate
without air – you can imagine how fragile a newborn child
is and how quickly an accident can happen. It’s always
better to be sure and familiar with the devise how to
handle before involving the newborn.

Good Luck and God Bless.

Looking For a Perfect Name For The Newborn?

How To Name Your Newborn.

Most people have the names lined-up before the
baby is born. And then there are the family
members with their suggestions and questions – it
is difficult to have everyone happy and involved
in this project.

Some couples consult, share their choices with
friends and other members of the family, while
other – do not. Some relatives get offended about
it, but there is no need to feel so or feel
neglected.

It depends on many factors such as:

The cultural background of the  couple. If the
parents of the baby have the same back-ground,
lived for many yeas in the same country  then the
family members know, more or less, what to expect
in regards to choosing the name – whatever is
common practice in that  country.  The young
couple may follow the tradition.

But the customs change swiftly in our modern
world, the  family members should be prepared for
“disappointments” if they are not going to be
consulted.

Many couples decide to keep to themselves, be
private, and inform the grand-parents when they
are comfortable to do the announcement.

Whatever the new parents decide the family have to
accept and honor their decision without
resentment.

You may hear many suggestions from friends and
relatives, such as warning you not to give a name
from one of the celebrities, the fad names or
names that may go out of style quickly or to
choose a name only from the Bible.

Some names have connotations with them – it would
be  considered to stay away from such a name so
that teasing  and tormenting in School would be
avoided.

We know that young children in School are trying
to be funny, inventive to stay “popular” and may
pick on other student’s names if they are somewhat
unusually original.

To be a parent is to be predictive, wise and
thoughtful. When giving your child a name those
faculties should be strongly taken into
consideration.

This is a responsibility that you, as parents,
should take very seriously. You have to think that
the name is going to be with the child for the
rest of his/her life. You, as a parent have to be
considered and thoughtful when you are choosing
the name(s).

A name has to go with the middle name and the last
name. At times they look good when they are
written down but when you pronounce them they
sound awkward – they don’t seem to sound good
together.

The first, middle and the last name should flow
when pronounced together. Somebody said that the
first name should come out easily  when it’s
“yelled” out on the run.

A name is what defines a person.

The child has to live with it for the rest of
his/her life, although I have seen cases where
adolescent children asked parents to assist them
in changing their given names legally.

They were minor changes, such as a spelling of the
name; in other cases to avoid changing the name
legally they would introduce themselves by the
legal name, but add, that they wish to be
addressed by such and such name.

At times, parents wish that their child has a
unique, original name – a name that no one else
has.  So, they choose a name and change the
spelling, which does not go with the
pronunciation.

In that case the child would be always concerned
to correct the traditional spelling to make
certain that it is his/her name and that it is
spelled correctly.

An other mistake parents make is giving a child a
long name. I made this mistake giving my daughter
a beautiful, but somewhat long name.

When she was in the beginning Grades in the Public
School that was a handicap for her. The teacher
would tell the students to write their names on a
page. Pupils, whose name consisted of four-five
letters would be finished in a jiffy – my daughter
needed double time to write down hers. For a child
so young, could be embarrassing.

Should you really like such name – use it as a
middle name.

Something to think about.

It is a big responsibility for the parents to give
the child his/her name.

There are names that carry a lot of history. It
could be a name that has been passed down in your
family – you are going to be giving them a part of
that history. If you want to honor someone in your
family but do not like their name, you can use it
as the baby’s middle name.

There are some things that you may not have
thought about but you should keep in mind that
rhyming names or names that do sound funny with
the last name is not a good idea. Children will
use this to torment and make the child feel
uncomfortable.

Be very careful to give the baby a name that is
not easy to make fun of and also make sure that
your child’s initials are not going to spell
something that may be embarrassing.

These are all valuable things that are important
to think about.  But there is so much excitement
with approaching birth of a baby and many time
many things are not though of by parents.

The name that you give your baby is something that
he or she can be proud of for the rest of his/her
life.  Be sure that the name is a good one.

Be ware of fad names and names that may go out of
style fast.  Be cautious also that if you use a
name that is too popular, for some reason, your
child can be drawn in into whatever connotations
name has.

You have to anticipate, be thoughtful and wise -
be precautionary as well as protective at all time
– those are the qualities of caring parents.

Good Luck!
