Old-Fashioned vs Contemporary Approach
Summer is almost gone in some parts of the world but the
outdoor activities continue for young as well as not so
young.
We enjoy sunshine and our health also benefits from the
magic rays of the sun and many people prefer to spend
more time basking themselves in the sun-rays and travel
long distances to places where they can continue to do
so.
Sunshine is the source of all life on our Planet. While
without it nothing grows, too much of it produces the
opposite effect. Sun rays are the matter of interest and
importance to one and everyone: how much of that gift of
nature should a person absorb is an answer yet to be
found.
It is quite confusing to decide what to do in our modern
days. There are too many different opinions, too many
different schools of thought.
There are also people, who believe that to never expose
the human body to the sun or cover it with cloth will
prevent cancer.
Another group of people contradict this notion by
affirming that the sunrays are the most beneficial not
only for every living organism, but especially for the
human body.
The studies show that the places of the body, which have
been protected in this way and then exposed to the sun
for a longer period of time, get cancer regardless.
Also we hear that by exposing a human body to the sun we
provide it with desperately needed Vitamin D and that the
sunrays have healing power and are most beneficial for us
in more than one aspect.
Everyone knows we have to be careful of the sunrays -
they have those dangerous ultra-violet rays (UV), which
not only burn the human skin, but also cause cancer.
Who is right?
So, let’s go back to the olden days, when there were more
people who enjoyed this God’s creation than
“self-appointed” scientists in this field who debated its
benefits.
Barely 100 years ago, I remember, it was very fashionable
and considerate healthy to spend a sunny afternoon
outdoors, moderately dressed, alternating between the
sunny and shadowy spots, while enjoying the surroundings.
In our modern world I notice people are barely covering
their bodies and exposing them to the sunrays for a long
period of time. The consequence: a damaged skin! But
there is the sunscreen to protect us! Exclaims the
contemporary educated crowd.
No, do not use that stuff – it contains chemicals that
damage the skin and causes cancer, contradicts the
environmentalist group. There is a conflict, indeed and
where are the experts to tell us what to do?
How about turning our mind to the common sense and hear
what is its reasoning?
We are being informed that the human body’s largest
organ, the human skin, is made of multiple layers of
tissues and its primary responsibility to guard body’s
muscles, ligaments, bones, and internal organs.
It’s also a protecting device against infectious diseases
and excessive water loss. Skin also insulates, regulates
temperature and sensation. It harmonizes Vitamin D and
protects vitamin B folates, absorbs some of the UV, and
also acts as a barricade against water and soap so that
nutrients are not washed out of the body when we clean
ourselves.
This organ also contains enzymes that help reverse UV
damage. Individuals, who do not have enough of these
enzymes and therefore cannot protect themselves from UV
rays, are suffering from skin cancer at higher rate.
Skin pigmentation, as to be expected, varies amongst
people as well as the skin color.
Prevention is the best defense: people can avoid burns
and consequently cancer. Should a person get skin cancer,
if caught early, it’s easily cured.
My logo is: PREVENTION. Since not everyone knows of his
or her exact skin composition it’s difficult to choose
the right sunscreen, but there are excellent products
that are readily available in every kitchen cabinet.
My favored is the Olive Oil (the purer the better). If it
were not readily available any oil would do.
Another product that was very popular and widely used for
this purpose was Vaseline (White Petroleum Jelly U.S.P)
the “Ultimate Moisturizer”, which helped new mothers to
care for the newborn babies’ skin.
It has been proven that these products lubricate and
nourish the skin, guard it against the sunrays and save
money.
Consequently using the Olive Oil and the Vaseline
(natural products) the person safeguards himself/herself
from the Sun-Rays and at the same time benefits
threefold.
Try it! You’ll not only be pleasantly surprised – you
will be glad you did!

Our ancestors were on the go the whole day looking
for food and running away from or after an enemy.

Doing some physical activities is not fashionable
any longer and not too many of us are motivated
and inventive enough to exercise at least four
time a week on our own.
Having a professional trainer makes the muscle
firming much easier and more fun.
Craig Ballantyne, Men’s Health Magazine Home
Fitness Expert, Certified Strength & Conditioning
Specialist, and Author of Turbulence Training for
Six Pack Abs is the most qualified person for the
job.
He forever researches, practices and introduces
new and different ways to keep your body molded
and fit.
Following Craig explains what is beneficial and
what is contra productive when doing the workouts:
Myth #1 – You Have to Do Hundreds of Crunches and
Sit ups To Lose Belly Fat and Get Flat Abs.
If you rely on boring, back-breaking abdominal
crunches and sit-ups to burn belly fat, you’ll
never lose the ugly belly fat covering your abs.
To get more fat burning results in less workout
time, use fat burning interval training and
total-body abdominal exercises instead.
Myth #2 – In Just Four Easy Payments of $29.99,
You Can Buy a Miracle-Working Six Pack Ab Machine
From a Late-Night informercial Ha! I wish one of
those abdominal exercise contraptions worked half
as good as the so-called “experts” say, but
infomercial gadgets don’t burn belly fat or
flatten your abs (they only burn your money and
flatten your wallet!).
Myth #3 – You Have to do Ab Workouts Everyday to
Get Six Pack Abs, Not true! In fact, one of the
secrets of top fat loss trainers is to drop
boring, repetitive ab exercises and replace them
with total-body abdominal exercises you only need
to do for a few minutes three times per week.
Myth #4 – You Have to Do Cardio in the Fat Burning
Zone Everyday to Burn Belly Fat Long, slow boring
cardio in the fat burning “Zone” is not the best
way to lose ugly belly fat. In fact, in a recent
study, subjects did 40 minutes of slow cardio
three times per week for 15 weeks but didn’t lose
a single inch of stomach fat. However, only 20
minutes of interval training helped subjects spot
reduce their belly fat.
Myth #5 – You Can’t Get Six Pack Abs at Home. You
Have to Use Expensive, Fancy Ab Machines at a Gym
Research shows that most abdominal machines in
gyms are extremely DANGEROUS for your low back!
But you can do simple, safe, and effective
abdominal bodyweight exercises and interval
training at home to flatten your stomach.
I know you are working hard on getting your
six-pack for summer, but at the same time you
don’t want to do long workouts or go to a stinky
commercial gym, so I’ve created a 12-week
Advanced Ab program, based on the Turbulence
Training principles, but full of unique and
effective twists to work your abdominals harder

Abdominal Workout program includes 12 weeks of

some dumbells, and if you are advanced, a pullup
bar. There isn’t a single CRUNCH in the entire
program because I want you to work your abs the
right way with this program and STOP wasting time.
